"Motorola would like to drive the ecosystem to widespread adoption and support for WiMax chipsets, and by driving an end-to-end architecture for personal broadband, Motorola is poised to deliver all the solutions necessary to help operators meet growing needs for greater bandwidth, simpler networks and true mobility."

The company has been working closely with chipmaker Intel to promote WiMax worldwide.
