David Pasternack Contest | Who is David Pasternack?

Note:  Extremely off-topic.  If you are not a search geek please move along :)

David Pasternack:

Dave Pasternack founded Did-it Search Marketing with Kevin Lee in 1996. Prior to Did-it’s founding, he founded United States Information Corporation, which became one of the largest electronic publishers of Federal Government bidding and contract information in the United States. Dave’s first computer industry direct marketing company, Logicsoft, was founded in 1980 and was named by Inc. Magazine as the fastest growing private company of 1984.

It looks like we have another Search Engine Optimization contest in the works with Mr. David Pasternack in the cross hairs.  If you haven't already noticed from above he is quite old school in the game.  Other information you might not know is that he is an "avid golfer" and earned his Masters of Business Administration from NYU.

David Pasternack in the News:

Grey Wolf's Blog:

According to Grey Wolf, Mr. Pasternack has take a knack to spamming the new hot service of MyBlogLog.  Well I don't know about you but I have not seen his face on my blog so he not spamming enough.

DM News:

This is one of the posts that has kicked up so much dust in the SEO community of late [SEO No More Post] It seems that David Pasternack has taken the stance that SEO is pretty easy and it is something anyone can learn in about 4 hours from the Google's Webmaster Guidelines and Google's Help Center for Dysfunctional Webmasters

Search Engine Journal:

After reading through this post people really are up in airs about his comments.   Regardless of what happens David Pasternack should be happy on just the fact that people care with such vigor on his comments.  I have been reading from site to site and people are really wound up about David Pasternack stating "SEO is not Rocket Science".

David Pasternack's  Razor Clam Credo  on New York Recipes:

If David Pasternack was not talented enough, now we find in his time between being the SEO King and shooting 9 Under at Pebble Beach he finds time to create amazing "Razor Clam Credo". (I would link to it but you know)

Oilman:

Well I already know hes in it to win it so I can expect some sort of push coming soon to hit that #1 spot.  I don't want to let anything out the bag but I have been examining what he did to hit where he did so effortlessly being that SEO is not rocket science.

In Closing on the David Pasternack Contest:

Well now I am going to start my non-rocket science seo activities like re-reading the Google guidelines to see if I missed anything. Oh yeah, almost missed something [David Pasternack].  I might be adding to this post as it gets closer as needed.  This contest should be fun and I will be watch as should you: [Google Trend on David Pasternack]
