Windows GUI for Asterisk PBX - GlassConsole Lite 1.0.20

At last!, I have finally finish the Windows GlassConsole Lite. A fully functional windows console for the Asterisk PBX. People have always askme for an easy to use hand off linux, Asterisk Console. To be totally graphicall and not having to deal with the struggle of going trough a web site or a linux prompt. Well, here it is!.

AstLinux 0.4.8 Released to the Public

AstLinux 0.4.8 has been released.  The only updates were to Asterisk and Zaptel.  Most of the development effort is focused on implementing Asterisk 1.4 and releasing AstLinux 0.5, which should be both happen fairly soon.  Expect many more changes in those releases!

QueueMetrics 1.4.0 for Asterisk PBX Released Today

Note: After actually using this for a couple years I have to say this is one of the best 3rd party applications for the Asterisk PBX.  Adding this to a call center is like taking a breath of fresh air because of the report and real-time stats.  I want to setup a wall board at our office for fun.  
 
After a few months of developement, we are proud to release QueueMetrics 1.4.0

This release adds a very large number of new features and bug fixes:

Major New Features:
- New master engine! It should be 4x faster and 2x as memory efficient as QM 1.3, though it's tracking much more information. It's 100% compatible witth the old configuration switches. (#2, #4, #69)
- New clustering engine! clustering is now fully supported for historical, live and agent's page data. The configuration is a bit different from version 1.3.3 (#23)
- New Agent's page: an agent can log on, log off, go to pause and terminate pauses.
- Call codes tracking: your agent can associate a call code to each incoming/outgoing call and QM will report on it.
- Pause codes: an agent can mark WHY he goes on pause from the ACD, and QM will report on it.
- Multi-stint calls: if a call has been handled by multiple queues, eg it has been passed to an overflow queue, it is now possible to track its progression (#129)

AstJax - Firefox Web Browser Click2Call Script

Hello, 
 
Just to announce that I've improved upon a greasemonkey script which allows users to dial any number (in the given regex format) by turning it into a clickable hyperlink.

The script uses greasemonkey's ajax callback to a simple php controller script, so that the click does not navigate away from the current page.

It requires an Asterisk Manager connection.

OctWare Offers Echo Cancellation for Asterisk IP PBX

OctWare introduced its "SoftEcho", a new per channel upgrade option for Asterisk-based IP PBX systems. SoftEcho is a Line Echo Cancellation (LEC) application for Asterisk systems. The software is available as a download for enhancing Asterisk with sound quality.

QueueMetrics 1.3.3 for Asterisk Released Today

Today QueueMetrics 1.3.3 was released. This release offers experimental advanced clustering support, so that one instance of QueueMetrics can monitor multiple instances of Asterisk as if they were one large server. This feature is experimental, i.e. not production-ready, but we'd like you to try it and let us know how it is going.

Free Manager API Utility for Asterisk

Call Accounting Mate Introduces Support for Asterisk PBX

 

Call Accounting Mate announced today that it has developed integration for the massively popular Asterisk the Open Source PBX into its Call Accounting Mate software. The move is largely in response to the large number of inquiries from developers and integrators of Asterisk.

DialplanPro Beta - Windows GUI

Note:  Found this on the list this morning.  Looks promising after reading the description for those integrators that still use xp/2000 as the daily desktop.

Originally an exercise to learn Asterisk and have a GUI of my own to use, I developed a Windows based GUI to build dial plans and upload them to the Asterisk server.  Currently in beta, it's aim is to abstract routine chores such as dialing an extension or playing a voice.

I also wanted to be able to implement custom code in a easy graphical way as well so I included a scripting editor with most of the core functionality you'd expect like syntax highlighting, Parameter Hints, etc.

Web-MeetMe 3.0.0 released for Asterisk

We've been holding back on this release to coincide with the Asterisk 1.4.0 release. 

This is mostly a compatibility release, but there are a few new features:
*  No longer requires register_globals in PHP
*  Separated code from configuration settings in ./lib/defines.php  (hopefully this will make future upgrades easier)
*  Migrated all database interfaces to PEAR::DB which simplifies the code a bit and opens
up the possibility of using other databases to host the scheduling DB (app_cbmysql is still only MySQL, but ODBC is planned/hoped for)
*  The conference monitoring code now uses the concise output from "meetme list", improving
the parsing of participant details.
*  Minor tweaks to improve the cbEnd.php script that enforces the conference duration, plays announcements and populates the conferencing CDRs.
*  Conference CDR records now store participant duration in seconds instead of a formatted string, allowing for further analysis (the web interface still formats the duration for display purposes)
*  App_cbmysql is updated to work with Asterisk 1.4.0
*  App_cbmysql has it's own build environment now, no longer requiring a Makefile patch, etc...

New astGUIclient VICIDIAL Release: 2.0.2

astGUI 2.0.2 client suite runs on most modern web browsers on almost any GUI-capable operating system, and it includes the astGUIclient client-side web app which extends your phone's functionality and the VICIDIAL call center suite. AsterFax 1.1 beta 3 Released

Asterisk IT have released beta 3 of AsterFax 1.1. Beta 3 is likely to be the last beta before AsterFax 1.1 is released. The key feature of AsterFax 1.1 is that in conjuction with SpanDSP 0.3 Asterisk finally has a reliable Faxing service which will operate on all Digium hardware for both inbound outbound faxing.

Astertest Update

Hi all!!

I've made some changes to the applications that Astertest was using to monitor the performance of the server. Now is also possible to track the bandwidth usage of the server, this has nothing to do with the executable (astertest.exe) itself but with the events that the Asterisk Manager generates.
